Rainfall in the Brisbane catchment 1870-95

Rainfall in the Brisbane catchment 1870-95. Reporting on the 1893 floods, the Water Supply Department and its director, J.B Henderson, provided this table of recorded rainfall in the Brisbane catchment from 1870 to 1895. While data is missing for a number of years and locations, the table clearly shows how significant 1893 was in terms of above average rainfall. In the upper Stanley catchment, Crohamburst received over 201 inches of rainfall. Of this, 107.6 inches fell in February 1893. Queensland votes and proceedings, vol.4, 1896
