Crocodile feeding at Mount St John Zoo, 1957

Crocodile feeding at Mount St John Zoo, 1957. Crowds at the Mount St John Zoo had a close-up view of crocodile feeding time. Though St John Robinson performed tricks such as riding a crocodile, the animals were dangerous. In 1953 Tarzan, the zoo’s largest crocodile, had attacked a worker named Hugh Henry, who was fishing within the enclosure. He was rescued by Clifford Robinson but died two days later.
