Landsborough’s tree, 1862
William Landsborough marked a number of trees to plot and record the route of his exploratory journey to establish an overland stock route from the Gulf of Carpentaria to Cunnamulla. This section of  tree trunk shows the blaze he marked at Terrick Terrick station near Blackall in central Queensland in 1862.
