Huge Bunya Pine, 1927

Huge Bunya Pine, 1927. The timber industry and agricultural development of the south-east corner of Queensland has largely restricted the tree to the Bunya Mountains National Park, the Blackall Range and nearby areas. There are also scattered populations in the Mount Lewis National Park 1000 km to the north. The timber of the Bunya had little intrinsic value so was made into items such as butter boxes.
