Projects affected by the flood, 2011

Projects affected by the flood, 2011. This map appeared with the article ‘Rents to soar as values plummet’ in The Australian newspaper. The map shows major property development projects affected by floods: Montague (West End), The Milton (Milton), Pier at Waterfront (Newstead), Yungaba (Kangaroo Point),  Station 16 (South Brisbane), Capitol (South Brisbane), Farringford (Tennyson), Parklands (Sherwood), Waters Edge (West End) and Riverpoint (West End). Many of these developments occur on river frontage. The map gives the details of each development including unsold units and average price and comments. Largely most of the development suffered form basement and ground floor flooding with others not yet built, but selling off the plan, suffering from site flooding. The map also lists, in almost an advertisement for dockside development at Hamilton, ‘The ones that escaped’: Hamilton Reach, Hamilton Harbour, and Portside Promenade.
